A side note

So as I hope you've heard, Osama Bin Laden was found and killed this week.  I'm not quite sure what to think about it.  Originally I was like "Oh finally! Good for them!"  But then I watched the news coverage of Americans celebrating and I couldn't help but cringe and walk out of the room.  I'm not going to give any examples because I really don't want to offend anybody.  The whole thing just makes me..... scared.  For the future.  I can't help but think that more terrorist attacks will happen from retaliation. (SO grateful I don't live in or near a major city!)

Anyway, the point of this post was that I found myself looking up safe places to live.  Also because I've been getting asked about once a day, where do I plan to live once I get married and graduate :P  I really liked this article (and it has great pictures!).  I especially like that New Zealand is number one ;)  Also, it's interesting to have a look at the Global Peace Index.  The new one doesn't come out for a couple of weeks (which is why Egypt scored well, ha) but it's generally accurate.

Where do you think is the safest place to live?  How do you feel about Osama Bin Laden?  What do you think is going to happen next?

  1. I am so happy that my BFF's are on the same page as I am with the whole cringing thing. Cause I thought I was the only one for a hot second.

I honestly wanted to cry when I saw all of the "YAY DEATH!" posts and the news coverage....I mean, yeah, he was a wicked person, but he's still a human being. And his life was taken from him. That's not happy.

    I love you Mandapanda :)
